Corrections Policy | CampusPrime

Corrections Policy at CampusPrime explains how we identify, review, correct, and update inaccurate or outdated educational information. We strive to provide accurate, reliable, and up-to-date educational news, admission guides, examination resources, and student information.

We recognize that errors can occasionally occur despite careful research and editorial review. When we identify an error, we are committed to reviewing it promptly and making appropriate corrections in a clear and transparent manner.

Corrections Policy and Our Commitment to Accuracy

Accuracy is an important part of our editorial standards. Our coverage includes time-sensitive topics such as Post-UTME guidelines, JAMB updates, WAEC and NECO information, admission requirements, registration deadlines, and school fees.

We make reasonable efforts to verify important information against official sources before publication. When published information is found to be inaccurate, misleading, or outdated, we review the content and take appropriate corrective action.

Types of Corrections

Factual Errors: If an incorrect date, deadline, cut-off mark, fee, admission requirement, portal procedure, or other significant detail is published, we correct the information as soon as reasonably possible.

Clarifications: If an article contains information that could reasonably cause confusion, we may revise the relevant section to make the intended meaning clearer.

Minor Errors: Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, formatting issues, and other minor errors that do not affect the factual meaning of an article may be corrected directly without a separate correction notice.

Ongoing Updates: Educational information can change throughout an academic session. We may update existing articles when universities, examination bodies, or other official authorities release new information.

Correction and Update Notes

When a significant factual correction changes important information in an article, we may add a correction or update note to explain what was changed.

A correction note may use wording such as:

Correction / Update: This article was updated on [Date] to correct information regarding [specific detail].

Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, or stylistic changes may not require a separate notice.

How to Report an Error

Readers, students, educators, institutions, and other members of the public can report factual errors or outdated information to our editorial team.

Please email info@campusprime.com.ng with the subject line Correction Request.

Where possible, please include:

  • The URL of the article containing the suspected error.
  • The specific statement, paragraph, or section that may require correction.
  • An explanation of the issue.
  • A link to an official source or other reliable evidence supporting the proposed correction.

You can also submit a correction request through our Contact Us page.

How We Review Correction Requests

Our editorial team reviews correction requests and, where appropriate, checks the reported information against official or other reliable sources.

For education-related information, we may consult primary sources such as official university websites, examination bodies, and government agencies. Readers can also verify information directly through official sources such as JAMB, WAEC Nigeria, and the NYSC website.

If the information is confirmed to be incorrect, we will update the relevant content. Significant corrections may include a correction or update note so readers can understand that an important change has been made.

Not every correction request will result in a change. We may decline a request when the available evidence does not support the proposed correction or when the original information remains accurate.

Editorial Transparency and Corrections

Our aim is not only to correct errors but also to maintain transparency with our readers. We do not intentionally present outdated or incorrect information as current.

When significant changes occur, we make reasonable efforts to update affected articles and communicate important corrections clearly.
